Clear models and drawings for parts, assemblies and fabrication.
Ryan Dynamics produces parametric CAD models and technical drawings from sketches, existing files, measurements or physical parts.
Documentation can be prepared for components, assemblies, sheet-metal parts, weldments, electronics and connector systems.
When CAD and technical drafting are suitable
Projects can start with complete requirements or with incomplete information that first needs to be measured, organised and documented.
- A physical part needs measurement and recreation as a CAD model or drawing.
- A sketch or concept needs usable part and assembly documentation.
- Sheet-metal parts require flat patterns, bend information or fabrication drawings.
- A weldment requires dimensions, material notes, weld symbols or assembly detail.
- Existing electronics, wiring or connector geometry needs to be documented.
Capabilities
Ryan Dynamics matches the level of detail to the intended manufacturing or documentation use.
-
CAD and reverse engineering
- Parametric part and assembly models
- Measurement and recreation of physical parts
- Component and assembly design
- Model-based checking of drawing geometry
-
Fabrication documentation
- Part, assembly and weldment drawings
- Sheet-metal parts, flat patterns and bend information
- Dimensions, tolerances, materials, finishes and notes
- Weld symbols and fabrication detail where requirements are known
-
Technical documentation
- Electronics, PCB, wiring and connector drawings
- Client title blocks and numbering when requirements are supplied
- Revision information appropriate to the agreed deliverables
- PDF, STEP, DXF, flat-pattern and native files as scoped
Possible deliverables
File types and drawing content depend on who will use the information and for what process.
- Parametric part or assembly models
- Part, assembly, fabrication or installation drawings
- Sheet-metal flat patterns and agreed bend information
- PDF, STEP, DXF and native CAD files where included in scope
- Electronics, PCB, wiring, connector or pinout documentation
Ryan Dynamics identifies unknown dimensions, materials and tolerances instead of guessing them. Large parts may need a project-specific measurement method. Ryan Dynamics does not currently provide 3D scanning. The client must define formal document-control requirements.
CAD and drawing examples
Examples include fabrication modelling, sheet-metal detail and documentation for printed parts.
